Team Meeting 1

In our first team meeting we decided the date of our filming Saturday 11th October. we planned out which scene will be filmed on the day however due to us only having a male actor we decided just to shoot where the girl is not needed such as the shop,streets etc. we also talked about the props and who will bring which item.

Task 3 Treatment Music Video Pitch Idea Feedback

This was our initial ideas for our music video but we had 2 songs to choose from Ed sheeran - U.N.I or Neighborhood - Afraid which we could not decide upon therefore the class voted on Ed sheeran as they found the ideas realistic. At first we did not want to include any lip synch but we was told that this sort of genre requires lip synch also there was ethical issues using a gravestone so we decided to use other symbols to signify her death.

Evaluating Practice Music Video Task

We worked well as a team and each person had individual’s roles my role was recording as well as playing the music at the background and the other 2 members were also recording /telling the actress which part of the lyrics to start form and what to do.
Strengths:
One strength was that we were able to add a black and white filter to our practice music video which was helpful because we are going to use that filter to our original music video.
Another strength was the actress who was acting for our music video. This was because she looked believable,theatrical and confident.
Moreover we used different locations,the hallway and the staircase and finally the actress was in synch in few parts with the song.
Weakness:
A weakness was lip-synch because it was either too fast or slow this was because when she was originally lip synching there was no beat in the background for her to follow when she was singing.
Another weakness was that we didn't focus the actress properly because when it came to editing we wanted to zoom in to her face ( close up ) but it was all blurry/fuzzy.
In addition it was over exposed in one of the shot this was due to the white balance as we did not change the lighting to sunlight so when it came to the editing process it looked all bright compare to other shots we had taken and we did not get enough shots which gave gaps in between and had to be filled in with previous shot we had taken with another girl. Also there wasn't enough camera angles as it was mostly a 'medium shot' or a 'long shot'. Finally, we were looking for people around the college to be part of the music video and when we found someone we had to rush the filming due the lack of time we had therefore when it comes to filming the original music video we would need to plan our timing as well as finding people who are reliable beforehand.
